Emergency Medicine Healthcare Administration & Quality Improvement

Overview

The Healthcare Administration and Quality Improvement Fellowship was created in 2017 to train future organizational leaders who will thrive in academic and community practice environments alike. Since 1978, Harbor-UCLA has played an integral role in providing care to the largely underserved communities of the South Bay of Los Angeles. Our philosophy encourages education through service to a diverse and underserved population facing significant barriers to healthcare in addition to a tremendous spectrum of high-acuity diseases. We are a public-bed academic medical center with 64 EM residents serving approximately 95,000 patients annually through the Emergency Department.

Our team includes exceptional faculty and mentors with national reputations for excellence in education, research, and leadership in Emergency Medicine and its subspecialties. We built our state-of-the-art emergency room in 2014 and we provide comprehensive emergency services as a Level 1 Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, and Paramedic Base Station.
